Adoption

Adopting a rescued animal is a big commitment. These dogs have already been through so much in their short lives. They deserve loving, comfortable, forever homes.

The Adoption Process is something Friendly Giants Dog Rescue takes very seriously. We want to be sure that each dog is matched with his or her perfect family. We have several different adoption fees. For adult dogs that are 50lbs and under, our adoption fee is $350.00, for adult dogs that are 51 - 99lbs, our adoption fee is $400, for adult dogs that are 100lbs+, our adoption fee is $500 given the extra costs associated with food and spay/neuter surgery. For puppies 4 months of age and younger, our adoption fee is $500, this includes their 3 sets of vaccines, deworming and their spay/neuter. This fee goes towards the costs incurred to get the dog safe, healthy, and ready for adoption. Costs such as spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, heartworm testing and other necessary veterinary treatment, pull fees to rescue dogs from high-kill animal shelters, as well as boarding and transportation expenses add up quickly. In many cases, this adoption fee does not cover our costs. However, for some of our special needs and/or older dogs there is a reduced adoption fee.

Dogs Available for Adoption/Urgent Foster Homes

**The dogs listed as "Urgent in Need of a Foster Home" are dogs that are sitting in high kill shelters that we work with. They are about to be euthanized at anytime due to overcrowding. FGDR cannot commit to and pull these dogs due to lack of foster spaces and available funding. FGDR cannot continue to pay for dogs in boarding as this is another fee that we simply can not afford along with our own vetting and pull fees - PLEASE NOTE THAT FGDR CANNOT GUARANTEE WE CAN PULL THESE DOGS AS THEY MAY GET RESCUED BY ANOTHER GROUP OR GET ADOPTED DIRECTLY FROM THE SHELTER. FGDR is simply posting these dogs strictly to make people aware of the amazing dogs available for ADOPTION or RESCUE!**
